Arkansas dominates Texas 31-7 to capture Texas Bowl win

first_imgHOUSTON, TX (KTHV) – The Arkansas Razorbacks were looking for their first winning season since 2011. On Sunday night they achieved just that.Arkansas dominated the Texas Longhorns 31-7 to capture the Texas Bowl title. QB and game MVP Brandon Allen was very sharp completing 12/23 for 160 yards and two touchdowns. The only thing more impressive then Allen was the Hogs defense against the Longhorns.Robb Smith’s unit held Texas to just 7 points and 2 yards rushing while pitching a shutout in the second half of the game.Running backs Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams eclipsed 1,100 yards on the season.
