One person diagnosed with Coronavirus in Campbell County

first_imgJACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – The first case of the Coronavirus has been diagnosed today.  All,At approximately 6:30pm tonight, Friday March 13, 2020, The Campbell County Health Department advised my office that a person has been diagnosed with the COVID-19 Corona virus in Campbell County, TN.This patient was tested by qualified medical professionals and is remaining in their home. The Tennessee and Campbell County Health Departments are monitoring this patient and have declared that this patient has not communicated the virus to any other person. The public need take no special action beyond good personal hygiene and cleanliness.As always, continue frequent soap and water hand washing, use hand sanitizer, stay home if you are sick, cover your cough and sneezes and disinfect surfaces that are touched frequently.Refer to the Tennessee Health Department and CDC websites for guidance on simple measures to take at home, at work, in church or travelling to reduce the risk of obtaining or spreading germs in this or any other situation.Spring weather is here in East Tennessee so be sure to enjoy it while you implement a few small measures that help reduce risk for everyone.The Campbell County Emergency Management Agency and Mayor’s Office will continue to advise the public of any factors that may require further actions.Mayor E.L.
