Help fill the truck in Fort St. John for those devastated by fires in B.C.

JOHN, B.C. – Moose FM, The Phoenix Volunteer Club, Willy’s Trucking and Safeway have teamed up to help those in need from the devastation of the wildfires in the Central Interior.If you are looking to help those impacted by the fires, there will be the chance to do so this week.The event will take place from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at the Safeway Parking Lot. Just look for the Willy’s Trucking Trailer.Moose FM will be live on location for both days broadcasting each show from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Donations will also be accepted in the form of cash and cheques to the Red Cross.Below is a list of the items that will be accepted and are in need of:Non- Perishable FoodNew PillowsDiapers- all sizesBaby WipesToilet paperGarbage BagsSanitary Pads- all sizesTampons- all sizesHand SoapHand SanitizerBoxes of KleenexAdult Diapers- all sizesTooth BrushesTooth PasteShampooBaby ShampooBody WashBaby WashBand AidsPolysporinAlcohol WipesTensor BandagesGauzePet Kennels- sizesCat LitterLitter Pans – aluminum trays work great tooPet foodBoxes to store these items for shipping Jeanette Johnston with the Phoenix Volunteer Club says that the club wants to give back to others, especially those who have gone through such a devastating situation.“Everyone feels good when they can help out.. Not everyone has the means, the time or the resources to drive down to Prince George or to Kamloops to drop off these items but collectively, if each person dropped off a box of diapers or a case of wipes or a box of Kraft Dinner or whatever it is, I think that each of us collectively can do our little part.
